Meetings or written communication with individual Knesset members, government minister, and interest groups re. amendments to the Planning and Building Law:  in 1986, re. encroachment on citizen participation rights; in 1988 re. the comprehensive Amendment 26; in summer 1989 re. Emergency Law for Shortening Planning Procedures (proposed to combat unemployment; pre-immigration);  in July 1990, re. short-term legislation to shortcut planning procedures in connection with construction for the waves of new immigrants;  in autumn 1991, re. proposals to extend and expand the short-term legislation; in September 1993, re. criticism of special bill to exempt the Dead Sea Chemical Co. from some planning regulations; and alignment for planning for peace; in Jan. 1994 - re. a proposed extensive revision of the Planning and Building Law.  1995- lobbying to curtail proposal to fine so-called unmerited objections by citizens to deposited plans (my personal lobbying, newspaper report, plus appearance before the Knesset Committee in March 1995, successfully averted this proposal).  Pro-bono consultation for M.K. Anat Ma'or and attorney Abe Neeman re. land policy reform on kibbutz land (1996).  Preparation of a personal brief on the future of agricultural land under the Israel Lands Administration, sent to 10 Knesset members and other officials, May 1997.  2005 – Lobby Knesset members to initiate legislation to ensure sustainable maintenance of high-rise residential condominium buildings, based on my recommendations in a research report.  January and February 2005 – meetings with the Knesset Commissioner for Future Generations about national land policy.  January 2009 – meeting with a referee of the Ministry of Finance (at his request) to discuss reform in the Israel Lands Administration and in planning laws.  (During 2009 and 2010) Oral evaluation comments regarding the Planning and Building Bill 2010 – requested by the National Planning and Building Board, the Director Generals’ Steering Committee for the Bill, public and private meetings convened by the leadership of the National Planning Administration.  2010-2011 – regular oral and written inputs as consultants to the Knesset Committee for Internal and Environmental Affairs during the legislative process of the Reform Bill – Israel Planning and Building Law (click here for extracts - Hebrew).
